Indian schools: “NIIT
Inside”
“The excellent work done by NIIT in implementing computer education
across 700 government high schools in Karnataka has led to the success
of the Mahiti Sindhu project. NIIT’s meticulous planning and professional
management of the project, has resulted in the commencement of training
within a very short time.”
Mr. T.M. Vijay Bhaskar, IAS,
Commissioner for Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka
Empowering India's School Students for the Knowledge era
NIIT realized early on its IT education journey, that for the computer
revolution in India to become all pervasive, it was important to “catch
them young.” K-12, our special initiative for the school children
in the country was launched and has played a key role in bringing computer
awareness to young Indians. NIIT has entered into partnerships with leading
state Governments such as Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra
(Mumbai) and Punjab to provide computer education to Government schools
in these geographies. NIIT’s IT education crusade is touching over
9 lakh students across 2000 Government schools. We have also introduced
our IT training programs in private schools, enriching the lives of students
with vital, 21st century, computer skills. |
