Christmas in August? Why not? That was the idea behind NIIT’s Summer Toy Drive for to help bring joy children in Greater Atlanta.
At NIIT, we believe in reaching out to our community. Even a small gift can brighten a child’s day. That’s why we focused our community efforts on collecting toys to donate to the Children’s Healthcare Atlanta Foundation. | Items collected will be given directly to Atlanta’s children who are having surgery and suffer from cancer and other life threatening diseases.
Thanks to a huge outpouring of generosity, we received coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals, cars, trucks, dolls, videos and games. The safe toys collected are appropriate for newborns and young people up to 21 years old.

Smart Career Program for Design Professionals |

NIIT in partnership with Intergraph®, a leading global provider of engineering and geospatial software, and the Society of Piping Engineers and Designers (SPED is offering a no cost course “Smart Career Program for Design Professionals,” for unemployed plant and marine design professionals, utilizing Intergraph’s new-generation Smart 3D solutions.

An avid believer in giving back to a myriad of communities, especially during times of economic hardship, NIIT adds this program to a long list of innovative outreach opportunities which educate current and future workforces in areas of specialized training.
The five-day program is a free opportunity providing new process, power and marine design skills for anyone currently unemployed who has worked previously in the plant and marine design sector. Blending Intergraph’s popular Smart 3D Virtual Training program with instructor assistance, practice labs, tutorials and user access to hardware and software, the course keeps the already experienced—but currently unemployed—workforce familiar with the latest technological advancements.

Smart Solutions for a Greener Planet |

NIIT’s centralized virtual lab at Reliance Communication Infrastructure’s Data Center in Mumbai has received the Best Green IT project award 2009. The virtual lab enables remote access to students across all NIIT centers and has helped save 41.4 Mn in power savings and 51642 tons of CO2 emissions per annum.
