Dr David Selchen
Chief Learning Officer, Reliance Industries Limited
Dr David Selchen joined Reliance Industries Limited as the Chief Learning Officer in June 2015, moving to Mumbai from Houston, Texas. Prior to joining RIL, he was the Group Head of BP’s Talent and Learning Centre of Excellence and before that, led Talent Management for multiple global business units at Hewlett-Packard.
Earlier in his career, Dr Selchen was the Managing Director for the Gulf Coast (USA) operations of PDI Ninth House and has also held a research position studying neuroscience at the National Research Council of Canada. Dr Selchen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Biology from the University of Winnipeg, Canada, and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Oxford, UK, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
