Dr. Madana Kumar, PhD, brings the learnings of his 34 years of successful corporate experience in organizations like Bharti, HCL, IBM etc., to his work. In the corporate world, Madana is seen as a thought leader, strategist and mentor in the fields of Learning & Development and Leadership. His innovative ways of linking Talent with Business Results have brought numerous laurels to the organizations he has worked with, including the coveted Brandon Hall award and listing in the Learning Elite list. In his current role, he is shaping and implementing the Talent Development strategy of a mid-sized global IT company, UST Global, to bring in significant business impact for the organization.
Dr. Madana has spoken at various national forums like NHRD-L&D Summit, Timesjob.com, CLO TISS-Leapvault Summit, Associate of Talent Development (ATD) - Bangalore and he is interviewed by various renowned B-Schools like XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM-Shillong and MDI Gurgaon for their HR magazines and the TD magazine. He has also spoken at international forums like the Associate of Talent Development (ATD) at Washington and Dubai.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration. He has dual bachelor Degrees, a B.Sc. (Physics) and a BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (with HR specialization) from All India Management Association and a Certificate on Leadership awarded by the Cornell University, USA.
For his doctoral work, Dr. Madana Kumar studied the application of Servant Leadership in Indian NGOs.
