Santosh Deshpande is Advisor, Marketing Compliance & Sales Training, for Essar Oil Ltd. With the organization since 2015, he has been advising Essar on statutory, legal and local compliances as well as brand management compliances at its petrol pumps.
His responsibilities as part of this function include identification of gaps in statutory and brand support compliances at petrol pumps, and following up with business for timely and effective closure. Deshpande also heads the Sales Training function for the Essar’s Marketing Division where he develops and conducts effective training programs for field staff, Territory Sales Managers/Divisional Managers as well as Dealers and their Forecourt Salesmen and managers.
Deshpande is a freelance consultant in the field of logistics and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid chemicals, bulk powders and gases. Over the years, he has achieved his revenue, profit and business objectives within start-ups, corporates and Fortune 500 companies.
He also designs and launches programs that create product lines that are targeted at niche markets and deliver significant sales growth and profitability. Deshpande has managed P&L for domestic business divisions exceeding revenues of INR 400 crores per annum.
