Vijay K. Thadani is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of NIIT Ltd, a leading Global Skills and Talent Development Corporation. As the co-founder of NIIT Group, he has built an organization that is recognized for its visionary role in bringing the benefits of Information Technology, both as a professional skill and as a learning tool, to the masses.
Vijay has led the Group's globalization efforts since 1991, taking the NIIT flag to over 40 countries and has been actively engaged with many Industry Associations. He served as President of the Indian IT industry association, MAIT and as the Chairman of CII Northern Region. He has also served as the Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), under the aegis of the Quality Council of India and as the Chairman of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad.
Vijay is the co-founder of the not-for-profit NIIT University, established in 2009 with a vision of being the role model of learning, research, innovation and sustainability for the Knowledge Society. He is a Founder Director on the Board of NIIT Technologies Limited, a leading SEI-CMMi Level 5 assessed IT Solutions organization, servicing customers in the USA, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and India. He serves on the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and on the Governing Council of All India Management Association (AIMA). Till recently, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of MN National Institute of Technology, Allahabad and CII's National Committee on Higher Education.
A 'Distinguished Alumnus' of the premier Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Vijay was honored with the position of 'Economic Consultant' to Chongqing, World's largest city in the People's Republic of China.
Sapnesh LallaChief Executive Officer,NIIT Limited
Sapnesh Lalla is the CEO of NIIT Limited and serves on its Board of Directors.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Sapnesh headed NIIT’s Global Corporate Business, which constitutes nearly seventy percent of NIIT’s global business. As President of the group, he has led critical initiatives for the expansion of the company in North America and Europe through significant acquisitions, including Cognitive Arts and Element K. Under his leadership, NIIT has grown to become an established learning outsourcing solutions provider with its Managed Training Services offering in these markets.
Sapnesh joined NIIT in 1992 and has a long and accomplished tenure at the company. He started his career as a Project Lead in the Learning Content Development team in 1992. Over time, he has held various management and leadership roles in product management, customer support, channel development, sales, and support functions. He relocated to the United States in 1996 as a Group Consultant. In 2006, Sapnesh was appointed the President of NIIT (USA), Inc. and has since been an integral part of the CEO's leadership team. Sapnesh and the leadership team of the corporate business have spearheaded the rapid growth of NIIT as an industry-recognized, global market leader in learning outsourcing.
Sapnesh is an Electronics and Communications Engineer from Bangalore University and received his Executive Education at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Sapnesh is a part of the Managing Director’s Quality Club and the only NIITian who has the distinction of receiving the coveted Global Leadership Award twice in 2001 and 2010.
Dr. Gregg Collins Ph.DChief Learning Scientist
Dr. Gregg Collins is the Head of Instructional Design for NIIT's Corporate Learning Group. A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Yale University, Dr. Collins played a key role in the seminal research carried out at ILS and was one of the authors of Northwestern's graduate program in Instructional Design. He was a co-founder of Cognitive Arts Corporation, which was incorporated in 1995 to commercialize ILS. Dr. Collins became Head of instructional design for Cognitive Arts in 1996, and subsequently for NIIT when it acquired Cognitive Arts in 2002. Learning programs created under Dr. Collins's leadership have won numerous international awards, and Cognitive Arts has consistently been recognized as a pioneer and leader in the effective use of instructional design and technology to support pedagogy.
Sailesh LallaExecutive Vice President,Business Development, NIIT Ltd.
Sailesh Lalla is the EVP of Business Development at NIIT's Corporate Learning Group and leads the company's learning outsourcing initiatives across corporate markets in North America and Europe. Sailesh has been a part of NIIT for 23 years, and has rich experience of forging and managing the governance of large scale outsourcing relationships. He has spearheaded NIIT's Managed Training Services offering and has been instrumental in the company’s growth as a market leader in learning outsourcing. He brings rich international expertise, having lived and worked on major training outsourcing relationships in Singapore, Australia and India.
DJ ChadhaExecutive Vice President & Global Head, LDO & Content Design & Development, NIIT Ltd.
DJ Chadha is the EVP Global Delivery at NIIT’s Corporate Learning Group and heads Learning Delivery Operations and Learning content practice. He is responsible for P&L and execution of all learning outsourcing contracts globally. His key responsibilities include zero defect delivery of all customer commitments profitably, support sales in customer acquisition and employee retention.
DJ joined NIIT in 1992 and has significantly contributed to the growth of the organization in a variety of roles, including Regional Technology Head, Director of Training and Head of Corporate Training. In his role as Regional Technology Head, DJ was responsible for the management of 45 training centres which included the rollout of new curriculum, recruitment, trainer ramp up, and budgets for the entire region. As Director of Training, DJ built NIIT's corporate training business worldwide by orchestrating and managing training delivery for large-scale Managed Training Service partnerships.
Edward TrolleySenior Vice President, Consulting and Advisory Services
Ed Trolley is Senior Vice President of Consulting and Advisory Services for NIIT's Corporate Learning Group. He is widely recognized for having started the training outsourcing industry when he orchestrated the first comprehensive training outsourcing deal between DuPont and The Forum Corporation in 1993. He has orchestrated more comprehensive training outsourcing relationships than anyone on the planet. Prior to entering the training outsourcing provider space, Ed was head of DuPont's Training and Education division where he oversaw and guided the training and education for the 110,000-person multi-national corporation. In 2014, Ed was named as one of the “100 Superstars of HR Outsourcing” by HRO Today magazine and in 2007, was recognized as one of the industry's top 20 most influential people in training by TrainingIndustry.com. He is the co-author of the seminal book,
Running Training Like A Business: Delivering Unmistakable Value.
PR SubramanianChief Financial Officer
PR Subramanian is the Chief Financial Officer for NIIT's Corporate Learning Group. A commerce graduate from the University of Madras, Mr. Subramanian joined NIIT in 1990. He moved to International Accounting in 1995 where he established and headed the accounting function for the USA and Singapore offices. With nearly three decades of functional expertise and practical experience, Mr. Subramanian has optimized the efficiency of accounting in the outsourcing back office and has spearheaded mergers and acquisitions including NIIT Technologies, Osprey, DEI, and Cognitive Arts. A true global citizen and NIIT pioneer, Mr. Subramanian is on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
Sandra R. Pruitt SPHRRegional Vice President, Human Resources
Sandra R. Pruitt is the Senior Director of Human Resources for NIIT’s Corporate Learning Group. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management, majoring in Human Resources from Kennesaw State University and has over 22 years of Human Resource Management experience. As a Senior Professional of Human Resource, (SPHR), Sandy's strengths include a diverse generalist background with expertise in employee relations, mergers and acquisitions, global immigration, and benefits negotiation and administration. She has been a part of NIIT’s growth, working as a member of the due diligence team to acquire and merge various businesses into the NIIT family, including Osprey, DEI, and Cognitive Arts. While working with NIIT, she was awarded membership to the prestigious President’s Club as a pathfinder. Sandy has been a Human Resources Director for various companies including Fairgreen Capital, Northside Realty, Barco, Inc., and NIIT.
