Managed Training Services Company receives recognition for its partnership with Diageo
ATLANTA, GA - November 9, 2011 – NIIT today announced that it was honored for outstanding Client Relations at the seventh annual Human Resource Outsourcing Association's awards ceremony. For nearly a decade, theHROA Awards have been the highlight of the year and an aspiration for those in the HRO (human resources outsourcing) industry around the world.  This year’s theme, “Be Empowered”, honored individuals and organizations who have exhibited a commitment to empowering the HRO industry. This year’s HROA Awards Gala took place on November 3, 2011, at theHRO Summit Europe in Barcelona, Spain.
NIIT was a finalist in the category of ‘Customer Relationship of the Year’ in recognition of its work with the world’s leading premium drinks company, London-basedDiageo. “Our focus in Managed Training Services has been to help learning organizations drive measurable business impact from investments in training. Being a finalist in the client relationship category affirms our commitment to long term relationships which deliver exceptional value for our customers.” said Sapnesh Lalla, NIIT President and Business Unit Head.
NIIT’slearning content practice has developed more than thirty e-learning modules for the Diageo.  The modules have supported the learning organization in resolving key challenges and critical business issues such as reducing helpdesk costs and increasing productivity for new hires, optimization of internal processes and systems, and building a culture of workplace learning by increasing adoption rates thus building an environment of learning.  The partners have received coveted industry recognition asBrandon Hall Excellence in Learning andChief Learning Officer Learning in Practice Award recipients.
“The team that we have worked with has really worked hard to understand Diageo – our function and what we need – they always put themselves out to accommodate us, our changes, and needs,” states Lucy Flower, Diageo Project Manager.  “What we like most about NIIT is that they listened to our requirements and offered us solutions based on them and have not bombarded us with generic ideas.” The NIIT and Diageo relationship began in 2007.
Both organizations contributed in their own ways to make the partnership successful – NIIT was at the forefront of innovative research and cognitive sciences that break away from traditional learning methods and Diageo, with its brands steeped in rich heritage and tradition, was flexible in adopting the change. “We measure success by delivering the highest level of service and surpassing our customers’ expectations”, continued Lalla.
