Students of GNIIT are well prepared to meet the demands of the IT industry with a 48 hours structured and assessed Employability Orientation Programme which the student undertakes before he is eligible for Placements. The programme covers a wide variety of concepts and skills that are required in order to communicate with an impact including the basics of effective communication, the art of listening and effective conversation and persuasion and negotiation skills. The programme also includes telephone etiquettes and writing skills, delivering a presentation and conduct a meeting effectively, interview handling and resume-writing skills.

The GNIIT programme also lays emphasis on effective English verbal communication skills. Students are assessed on English verbal communication skills through qualified external agencies prior to Placements for corrective action for improved placeability.
