Career programs are a comprehensive package which provide students not just the skills in basic computing and software programming but also the skills required for application development and project management to enable them to play a larger role in the IT industry upon employment. These programs also help students develop certain important competencies like communication, time management, industry orientation etc. which go on to make the student a complete professional ready to join the technology workforce.
The programs begin with technology fundamentals like C++, data structures and go on to train students in high end technologies like C#, Java EE, Java SE, ASP.NET, XML, VS.NET, SQL Server etc.
The AAE curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation followed by technology specializations on Java and .NET development frameworks. The program has been co-designed with major IT recruiters and has been further revised based on the feedback from students and the employers of the pilot offering. It focuses not just on technical skills but also soft skills which are a very essential requirement of the industry today. The AAE curriculum is designed to give a distinctive edge to the engineers to easily adapt to new and latest technologies in application programming domain.
The current curriculum is distributed across 2 levels, with each level focusing on specific knowledge and skill enhancements. The focus of AAEv5 is to leverage the current and future applications through major technologies by Microsoft. The students will also get an exposure of developing Web applications and Web services using both .NET and Java platforms. Also, the curriculum covers skills required to build Next Generation Web Applications with modules such as WEB 2.0 – based application development on Java/.NET- with in-depth focus on AJAX techniques in Level 2.
