JCAPS-501 Foundations of Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite I
The Foundations of Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (Java CAPS) I course
is intended to present Sun SeeBeyond eGate Integrator (eGate) 5.1 to those new to
the product, as well as to developers who have experience with Datagate or previous
eGate versions. This course is not a migration or upgrade course. It is designed
for a technical audience and is a prerequisite for the Foundations of Sun Java Composite
Application Platform Suite II (SB-CAP- 0502). Completion of this course is a prerequisite
for the Sun Certified Developer for Java CAPS (SBX-500) exam.
JCAPS-502 Foundations of Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite II
The Foundations of Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (Java CAPS) II
course is intended as a follow up to Foundations of Sun Java Composite Application
Platform Suite I (SBCAP-0501). It continues to present Sun SeeBeyond eGate Integrator
(eGate) 5.1 and SunSee Beyond eInsight Business Process Manager (eInsight) 5.1 to
those new to the product, as well as to developers who have previous experience
with Datagate or previous eGate versions. This course is not a migration or upgrade
course. It is designed for a technical audience and is a prerequisite for Advanced
Sun Java Composite Application Platform Suite (SB-CAP-0580). Completion of this

SA 1 Solaris Admin 1
The System Administration for the Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System (Solaris 10 OS),
Part 1 course gets you further engaged with the most efficient, secure and reliable
operating system ever built. This course gives you direct experience with the most
essential system administration tasks in the Solaris 10 OS. You will be instructed
in crucial system management skills including: managing local disk devices, managing
UFS file systems, installing and removing Solaris packages and patches, performing
system boot procedures. The course also covers user and security administration,
managing network printers and system processes, and performing system backups and
restores. This course is the second of a two-part series that helps you to prepare
for Part I of the Sun Certified System Administration for Solaris OS examination.
SA 2 Solaris Admin 2
The System Administration for the Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System (Solaris 10 OS),
Part 2 course expands your mastery of the most advanced operating system on the
planet: Solaris 10. This course provides students with hands-on experience working
with more complex and integrated administration concepts, and builds upon the Part
1 course. Students will be instructed in essential system administration skills
including: configuring network interfaces, managing swap configurations, crash dumps,
and core files. The course also covers configuring NFS and AutoFS as well as system
messaging, managing storage volumes and ZFS file systems, setting up naming services
and managing Solaris Zones. This course helps you to prepare for Part II of the
Sun System Administration certification exam.
SI-365 Solaris(TM) 10 Operating System Internals

Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 for Solaris
In the Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 for Solaris course, you learn to integrate,
operate, and make the most of Veritas Storage Foundation, including Veritas Volume
Manager (VxVM) and Veritas File System (VxFS), in a UNIX environment. You learn
to install and configure Veritas Storage Foundation and to manage disks, disk groups,
and volumes by using the graphical user interface and from the command line. You
also learn about recovery from disk failures, online file system administration,
remote mirroring across sites, offline and off-host processing using volume snapshots

hands-on class covers how to use Veritas Cluster Server to manage applications in
a high availability environment. After gaining the fundamental skills that are needed
to manage a highly available application in a cluster, you deploy VCS in a lab environment
to implement a sample cluster design.

as Solaris Containers. Solaris(TM) Zones and Solaris Resource Controls combine to
create Solaris(TM) Containers. In this course you gain the knowledge critical to
properly implement and manage these important capabilities in the Solaris Operating
System. The hands-on labs offered in this course involve accessing equipment that
resides at a location other than where the training is delivered.

M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000/M9000 with Expansion Cabinet servers. These skills include
performing configuration and platform administration methodologies supported by
Sun on these Sun servers; be familiar with and use troubleshooting tools and techniques
available within the Solaris(TM) Operating System (Solaris OS) relevant to this
server line. The hands on labs offered in this course may involve accessing equipment
that resides at a location other than where the training is delivered. Students
will not have physical access to this equipment.
