Rajagopalan Purushothaman is an alumni of IMT, Ghaziabad with nearly 35 years of experience in Retail, Telecom, Manufacturing and Direct Selling industries. He is currently Senior Vice President at Reliance Industries Ltd. and heads the Reliance Refinery and Marketing Academy.
Rajagopalan established the Reliance Retail Academy and supported the learning function for the official launch of Jio. He has planned and executed large scale learning interventions in Jio, Reliance Industries, Reliance Retail, Reliance Infocomm, NIS Sparta Ltd, Franklin Covey, South Asia, and DOOR International.
He won the Brandon Hall “Gold Award” for the best business impacting learning intervention in 2018. He was awarded the “Asian Human Capital Award”, Singapore, for “WORKSMART” learning intervention established by Ministry of Labour, Singapore and Human Capital Leadership Institute. It was shortlisted as the top 20 case studies of the decade.
He has also been awarded thrice by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and by LEAP Vault for the CLO of the year, Best Corporate Academy, and Best Business Impacting Learning Intervention among others.
