The Priority Banking programme is an initiative by Axis Bank, in collaboration with NIIT IFBI, and aims to create a pool of next-generation Priority Banking Relationship Managers for Axis Priority Banking.
This programme will help the learners to:

Your Path to Success
6.5 months Residential Programme# at NIIT University:
Immersive Learning: The curriculum is immersive and the learners will perform tasks of similar complexity, as they would face in the PBRM role. Learners will be working on agile projects and will undergo extensive practice to get the experience and confidence to perform the role.
3 months Internship at Axis Bank:
Guided Learning: To solidify the learnings, students will undergo 3 months of guided internship for application of the campus learning in the real working environment in any of the Axis Bank’s branches.
2.5 months On-the-Job Training:
Be a Hands-On Banker: The student will start 2.5 months of on-the-job training in an Axis Bank branch to take on the real roles and responsibilities required of a Priority Banking Relationship Manager for being job-ready from Day 1 and becoming a well-rounded banking professional.
Course Details
This is an immersive course, which means that the learners will perform tasks of similar complexity, as they would face in the PBRM role. Learners will study the business environment through business newspapers, best performing MFs, bonds, stocks, and other instruments to prepare a report. Dr. Alok Malhotra
Dr. Alok Malhotra is a senior trainer and academic consultant with NIIT IFBI. Alok has over 30 years of work experience, including 15 years of banking, 6 years of entrepreneurship and 10 years of training experience.
Alok brings with him rich experience across banking, entrepreneurial venture, curriculum design and training delivery in the areas of New Joiner Induction, Financial Management, Behavioral Skills, Sales and Customer Interaction Skills, and Core Banking Solution. He has extensive experience of working with Indian as well as International banks like ANZ Grindlays Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, Bandhan Bank, Various Small Finance Banks and Payments Banks, in all units of retail banking, new branch implementation, system migration, new product launches and setting up of training infrastructure.

Dr. Sushil Kalyani
Dr. Sushil has earned his PhD in Accounting & Finance from the Department of Accounting and Business Statistics, University of Rajasthan. He has done his PGCPF from IIM Indore and has done MBA in Finance, MA in Business Economics, PG Diploma in Foreign Trade, PG Diploma in Financial Management, CA (Inter), ICAI’s Accounting Technician Certificate Program and has qualified UGC NET (Management).
In his overall experience of 19 years in academics and corporate, he has worked with various institutes including IMI – Bhubaneswar and IIS University Jaipur. In his stint with corporate world, he worked with a Dubai based company in the capacity of Reginal Financial Controller and has handled 25 branches of the company situated in African continent.

PhD in Accounting & Finance from the Department of Accounting and Business Statistics, University of Rajasthan. He has done his PGCPF from IIM Indore.
Prof. Arun Kumar
Professor Kumar, an IIM Indore alumnus, is presently working as an Associate Professor at NIIT University, teaching various course related to Banking & Finance to MBA & PGDBM students. His research interest lies in the field of e-Financial Inclusion & Banking Risk Management.
He is a highly accomplished professional with over 30 years’ chronicle of success and a track record of working with reputed & well-known Government owned Banks (including State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, Punjab & Sind Bank & UCO Bank) and Best International Rating Agency & Risk Consultant (Dun & Bradstreet Dubai). He has been associated as Consultant (Deputed to Lagos, Nigeria) with Dun & Bradstreet Dubai where he spearheaded the implementation of Basel-II/III, formulation of ICAAP and other credit & operational risk consultancy at Nigeria.

Graduates from any stream with age between 20-30 years (at the training start date) and work experience between 0-3 years, who are interested to have a rewarding career in the Banking sector.
Candidates will need to appear for an Online test. Candidates who clear the test will be interviewed by Axis Bank Ltd & NIIT Team for their suitability for the role. Any candidate who clears the interview is eligible to join the programme.
The student will be placed as a Priority Banking Relation Manager at a Deputy Manager Grade at any of the Axis Bank Branches.
Training will happen at NIIT University in Neemrana which is an award-winning green campus on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. The campus is spread across 75 acres and is a walled campus with a single entry and 24-hours security.
There are as such no pre-requisites for enrollments except the eligibility criteria.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Banking and Relationship Management – From NIIT University
Axis Bank will issue the student with a provisional offer letter that will stand confirmed once the student completes all phases of the training successfully. The student has to be abiding by the terms & conditions mentioned in the offer.
The total fee for the programme is Rs.225000 + taxes. There is Loan available from the Axis Bank on programme fee minus the admission fee i.e. Rs. 2,15,000 at nominal rate of interest of 13%.
The programme fee includes 6.5 months of residential training + 5.5 months of guided internship/OJT at an Axis Bank branch. During the internship, the student will earn a stipend of Rs. 12,000, which is followed by 2.5 months of on-the-job training with a paid salary.
Once you are selected by Axis Bank, on getting the admission letter you will have to pay an admission fee of Rs.10000, the balance amount will have to be paid before the training commencement, which can be self-financed or student can opt for a loan by Axis Bank on the same.
Following Documents are required during selection:

- Birth Date Proof (Passport / Driving License / Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate)
- Academic Certificates (X, XII, Graduation all documents)
- Relieving letter from your last employer will be required if you have been or are a working professional
The programme fee will be collected in 2 installments. Once the Term starts and you exit in between the installment paid for the respective Term is not refundable. If you wish to leave before the program commencement, then the fee is refunded excluding the admission fee of Rs.10000.
The Priority Banking programme is an initiative by Axis Bank – NIIT Academy of Relationship and Wealth Management focused on building talent at Axis Bank and aims to create next-generation Priority Bankers.
No, The programme requires you to have completed graduation at the time of joining and since this being a residential programme, you are required to have completed your studies at the time of joining.
The internship will have to be done at any of Axis Bank branches basis the needs and business requirements of the Bank and will be for three months. Students will be paid a stipend of Rs.12000 per month.
No, this is a fully residential programme and you are required not to be under employment while undergoing this programme and at the time of joining this programme, you are required to submit a Relieving letter from your last employer.
It is the sole discretion of the Bank to place the candidate at any of their given branches depending upon their requirements.
EMI will start only after 6 months of joining the bank. However the interest component starts from the month the 1st instalment is released @ 13% interest rate.
