DrGreggCollins currently the Chief Learning Scientist for NIIT Ltd. Working in an office Evanston, Illinois--which is just outside of Chicago and he lives in Evanston with his wife and a daughter, who is a sophomore at Northwestern University, which is also in Evanston. He got here literally and figuratively via a circuitous route. Started out trying to be a rock star. When that didn’t work out, he went and got a PhD in artificial intelligence from Yale University. This was way back in 1986, when the field of AI was less than half the age it is now. After that, he became a professor for ten years, first at the University of Illinois, then at Northwestern. Then became a co-founded a company called Learning Science Corporation, which had a lot of ups and downs, but was eventually purchased by NIIT, and that is, more or less, how he got to where he is now.
