Sebi Kumar Kuruvilla

Head, Architect and Consultant Academy, Wipro

Sebi heads the Architect and Consultant Academy in Wipro. He completed Master of Computer Science and Engineering (by Research) from Mysore University. He has been in the IT Industry for 27+ years including 18+ years with Wipro.

During this period, he has led various functions in L&D and also as a Competency Head for Product Engineering Services. Some of the initiatives he was involved in include Project Readiness Program (PRP) for new joiners, Wipro Academy of Software Excellence (WASE) for Non-Engineering graduates, and Talent Assessments. Also, he was involved in setting up Advance Technology Lab (ATL) for creating solutions in emerging technology by partnering with 10+ start-ups. He has pioneered several programs for Wipro’s technical community including the Architect programs.

As part of Wipro’s non-profit initiative Mission10X, he pioneered ULK (Unified Learning Kit) to bridge the gap between the industry and the academia. It is deployed in 54 premier engineering colleges and universities.

Currently, he is driving transformational initiatives i.e. Digital, Artificial Intelligence, and Social across the organization for all employees. To keep every employee up-to-date with future technology trends, he runs an awareness session that is broadcasted on a weekly basis. This has been running every Thursday for 175 weeks.

Post completion of expert level immersive programs, his charter is to ensure deployment of these trained and certified employees into emerging digital projects.
