He/she performs statistical modelling (regression, classification, time-series forecasting)/ Machine Learning / Text Mining / Optimisation / visualisation, importing, transforming, validating and visualising data with the purpose of understanding or drawing conclusions from the data. They help model data into human-readable form (ROC curve, Excel chart, maps, etc.). Moreover, a Data Analyst interprets findings and prepares initial drafts of standard reports. They move data around, from a database or an API, through a transformation. They work with organisations dealing with data, like IT /ITES, KPO, E-commerce, Retail, Product-based companies, etc.
