1.0 Glossary
The following words and expressions shall, unless the context requires otherwise, have the following meanings as set out below:
Admission Selection Letter Is the document provided to a Candidate who fulfils the eligibility of admission for the Program based on the Candidate s application details and performance in the admission process. It is also known as Admission Offer Letter .
Alumni Connect means inviting the NIIT Alumni (ex-Learners) to share their Experience and Learnings to the current Learners.
Application refers to the online form that every Candidate must fill up and submit while seeking admission for a Program.
Application ID is an alphanumeric 15-character unique ID, assigned to all Candidates after applying successfully for the Program.
Aptitude Test is a test administered to assess the Candidates about their aptitude to do the Program. It includes analytical reasoning and quantitative tests.
Assignment means various forms of assessments like practice, challenge, quiz, project, hackathon that are conducted to evaluate the learning outcomes for each Learner in the program.
Async Session indicates Activities that the Learner is expected to do by self. Minimum additional time of 4 hours per sprint must be devoted by the Learner to complete and submit the activities like quiz, learning consolidation practice or challenge assignments. The utilization of Async Session would be as per the convenience of the Learner and must be completed before the next sprint.
Attendance means that the Learner is joining and participating the live virtual contact session (synchronous session) for the defined duration of the session.
Award/Title is the certificate conferred to a Learner in the form of a digitally verifiable document, upon successful completion of the Program and meeting all the required prerequisites for conferring the same.
Batch Training is imparted in groups of Learners, termed as Batch to facilitate the execution of the Program. A Batch is identified with a unique Batch Code, days of the week, time of execution, scheduled start date and projected end date.
Booking is confirming the acceptance of the Admission Selection Letter, and provisionally reserving a seat for the Program through payment of the applicable Booking amount. The seat is confirmed only on completion of the Registration process.
Booking Amount is the initial payment done by the eligible Candidate to confirm the acceptance of the Admission Selection Letter and block the seat in the Program.
Break is a temporary discontinuation of the program due to an unavoidable requirement of the Learner, post which the Learner can restore to another batch. This is not an automatic process and will impact the program duration and admission.
Candidate shall mean an individual seeking admission who is meeting the Eligibility Criteria of the Program. Candidate is also referred as Applicant .
Career Guidance (Placement Preparation) shall mean providing support to the Learners in creating their online portfolio, LinkedIn profiling and Soft Skill workshop.
CEFR means The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.
Certificate is the digitally verifiable document issued to the Learner upon successful completion of the Program and meeting the required prerequisites as applicable for completion of the said Program.
Challenge is the unguided assignment that the Learner solves to reflect the understanding of the concept learnt in the sprint.
Client Briefings are updates about the hiring organization and job description.
Credential shall include all the documents certifying the age, address, degree certificate, etc. obtained by the Candidate. The Candidate shall be required to produce the original documents of the Credentials if required by NIIT during the Program or by the Prospective Employer during recruitment.
CTC or Cost to Company is defined as the total earnings including gross income, variable pay and any other additional one time or recurring earnings as part of offer letter or otherwise like joining bonus, retention bonus or ESOPs provided by the Prospective Employer.
Debrief refers to the process of explaining one s original work done for the assignment or project which is being reviewed by the Mentor either in a 1-1 connect or in a group mode.
Defaulter is a Learner who is paying the Program Fee by deferred mode through instalment, and his/her payment is due. A defaulter Learner will have to pay applicable late payment charges + GST along with the due instalment, to restore in the Program.
Deferred payment plan is an instalment-based payment plan, applicable for select programs.
Delivery Schedule is the program delivery schedule (also referred as Batch Schedule) with the applicable number of sprints per week for the program. Each sprint would include defined hours of learning effort per week, including Sync Sessions, Async Sessions and optional Office Hours Support sessions.
Dropout is a Learner who has stopped attending the sessions of a program for a defined period, and therefore treated as a discontinued Learner by NIIT. A dropout student is not eligible for any further services from NIIT and cannot seek any refund.
Eligibility Criteria: there are Program eligibility criteria which the Candidate must meet before enrolling for the Program. Also, there could be specific Eligibility Criteria for allied services (like Placement Services or Certification).
Email Address is the mail ID provided by the Learner in the Application for Admission Form at the time of Admission or updated by the Learner on the Learning Portal, whichever is later. All communications are E-Mailed to the Learner on the Email Address registered with NIIT.
Enrolment ID is a 13-character alphanumeric unique ID generated for all Candidates who have booked or registered for the Program by paying the requisite fee.
EMI are Equal Monthly Instalments payable to the Finance Company as per their Payment Plan.

Together, we are launching a suite of both calendarized and non-calendarized training programs designed to empower professionals across various sectors in NIIT Digital. These programs offer numerous benefits, including enhanced employability, greater career advancement opportunities, and increased earning potential. By staying aligned with current industry trends and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, these accredited certifications help individuals build confidence, demonstrate professionalism, and meet the evolving demands of today’s workforce. This collaboration marks a significant step toward developing a highly skilled, future-ready workforce.
These are instructor-led online programs conducted virtually for the Learners. Each Learner must have a computer as per the required configuration along with a headset with mic, webcam, broadband internet connection and dedicated full time availability as required for the program.
This INTERNAL ONLY document serves as the Policy Note for driving the RPS OEM programs as a reference to internal Teams for better understanding about the Program details, Objectives, and various other processes.
This Policy is effective from 7th August 2025 until the time it is superseded by its subsequent versions.
This Policy shall be read together with other documents like Terms & Conditions of the Program, Admission Selection Letter (if applicable). In case of any conflict, the said documents shall prevail over this Policy only to the extent required.

· Staying Current with Industry Trends: In rapidly evolving fields like technology, accredited training ensures that your skills remain up-to-date and relevant, helping you stay ahead in the job market.
· Confidence and Professionalism: Accredited training provides a deeper understanding of your field, boosting your confidence to handle complex challenges and showcasing your dedication to maintaining high professional standards.
· Compliance with Industry Requirements: In certain sectors, particularly those with health and safety considerations, having accredited certification is often a legal requirement, like in fields such as crane operation, transport, and construction.
3.1 Batch Launch
· The batch launch calendar will be finalized by the RPS Delivery Teams in consultation with the ND delivery and Learner success team. The customer acquisition activities must start at least 30-45 days prior to the batch commencement and can accommodate registration till 5 days before the start of the training.
· With the announcement of the batch schedule on the www.niit.com program page, registration process is enabled.
3.2 How to Join the Program?
· Step 1: Applying for the program.
· Visit www.niit.com
· Select the Program
· Check Eligibility
· Click on ‘Apply Now’ to access the ‘Application Form’.
· Fill up Personal Information and Academic Information
· Candidates must read, understand, and agree with all the Terms & Conditions applicable for the program by clicking on the check box and then submitting the application.
· Step 2: Screening
· After the submission of the form, Program Advisor (PA) will review the profile, check for completeness and correctness of the Application form with the supporting documents and approve the same in the system. In case of any discrepancy the Program Advisor needs to resolve the same with the candidate.
· PA would check the eligibility of the Candidate profile as per the eligibility table.
· PA would Connect with the Candidate to understand the Program-related requirement and clarify all queries the candidate may have.
· PA would explain the Terms & Conditions with the Candidate mandatorily.
· Step 3: Registration
· Once the candidate makes the payment of applicable program fee, he/she will be registered in the class.
· Candidates will receive an email confirming the registration process.
· The Registration is non-transferable to any other program or person or batch.
· The Registration is for a Specific Batch and there is no Open registration.
· All registrations are to be closed on/before the last date of registration applicable for the batch and at least one week before the planned batch start date, whichever is earlier.
3.3 Miscellaneous:
· Admission to a Program is not transferable to any other individual.
· ‘On behalf’ Admission is not allowed for a Learner who is a major, i.e., attained 18 years of age.
· NIIT employees can’t fill in the application form on behalf of the candidate, can’t make any payment on behalf of the candidate, can’t accept any payment from the candidate to their personal account. All payments must be made by the candidate online to the designated account of NIIT Limited only.
· The candidate is required to fill in the correct details in the Admission Form, read all the Terms & Conditions, and agree to the same before submitting the form.
· A unique Enrollment ID will be allotted to the Learner. The Learner needs to use this ID for all future transactions with NIIT. This ID is unique to the Learner and is applicable for a lifetime. Learners will be recognized at NIIT with this ID even post completion of the Program.
· At the time of Admission, the Learner will also be provided with the Batch details of the Batch into which the Learner is being admitted. This will include the Batch Code, Start Date, Batch Days and Timings.
4. Medical fitness
As these programs are offered online, the candidate should be medically fit to attend the Online program. NIIT will not be responsible for any medical consequences of the learner.

7.1 Program Duration:
As a first step announcing the launch of the below mentioned 10 Programs that are calendarized:
7.2 Program – Pedagogy:
We follow the learning pedagogy recommended by the OEM. All learning materials, labs, hands-on activities are followed as per the recommendations by the OEM.
7.3 Batch Schedule:
All programs are conducted as full day – 8 hours per day trainings only. Therefore, a program with 16 hours duration means 2 days, similarly a 40-hour duration program means 5 days typically from Monday to Friday.
7.4 Learning Plan:
· The Batch follows a defined execution plan, which is referred to as the Learning Plan or Batch schedule. The Learner is required to refer to the Learning Plan from time to time and follow the same to complete the prescribed learning.
· While the Learning Plan is standardized across Batches, the Trainer may decide to include additional Session(s) depending on the profile of the Learners that make up the batch. Such revisions will be updated to the Learner during the program.
· NIIT reserves the right to change the Learning Plan, anytime during the execution of the Program, in the interest of better education delivery.
· Learning plan is an indicative design with an intent to complete all the components of the program. Topic coverage is not from watching videos or attending virtual sessions. It is necessary for the Learner to complete each assignment and any other assigned tasks to acquire skills. Therefore, the actual coverage or learning progress depends on the Learner’s ability to complete all assignments and tasks in the given period. In case the learner does not spend the required time or exhibit casual attitude during the program or does not complete assignments, the Learner will not be able to complete the program on time.
7.5 Learning Portal and Services:
· Learners will be registered in respecting OME’s LMS platform through which they will access the course materials and the labs.
· Learners will be guided to create their account and navigate through the platform.
· The access to the Learning Portal will be governed by the terms and conditions that are available on the Learning Portal.
· The access to the Learning Portal will be valid for the duration of the program / batch only.
7.6 Mode of Delivery:
· The program is an instructor led online live program conducted using Virtual Classroom tools like MS Teams or Zoom.
· All these programs are offered in Part Time mode only.
· There might be Office hours as per the schedule announced from time to time, during which time, the Learner can attend the same to get their doubts clarified from the Trainer.
· Learners should complete all assignments as per the plan and not have any backlog.
· Based on individual Learner productivity, Learner may need to spend additional time beyond the scheduled hours on daily basis and/or during weekend to complete all assignments
· Medium of instruction will be in English only; hence the candidates need to have minimum proficiency in English.
7.7 Attendance:
· It is mandatory to attend all the Sync sessions.
· The Learner is required to maintain at least 90% attendance in the Program, failing which the Learner will not be eligible to any Certificate for the Program.
7.8 Program Module Details

7.9 Digital Courseware & Certification Voucher
· All materials referred to during the program are all digital content and code. During the program duration, Learners will have access to the platform to access the digital contents.
*Certification Voucher wherever is applicable, one voucher for one attempt will be provided. For subsequent attempts the learner has to purchase the voucher separately.
7.10 Transfers
· No transfers are allowed in the program.
7.11 Breaks
· Learner admission is valid for a specific program and specific batch only and is not transferable. Hence, Break is not allowed during the program.
7.12 Appraisals & Evaluation
· No assessments/appraisals are applicable in the program.
· Learners interested in getting the OEM certification need to appear in the exams conducted by the respective OEM by using the Voucher provided or need to buy separately. (Refer to the Certification Voucher table in 7.9 section)
· On clearing the OEM exam, the learners will receive a Certificate from the respective OEMs.
7.13 Certification
The Learner will be awarded the Certificate for the Program subject to the following pre-conditions:
· The Learner has paid the Fee as per the payment schedule.
· Learner’s Attendance is >=90% in the Program.
Learners will receive a Course Completion Certificate (Digital) from RPS upon successful completion of the training and meeting the eligibility requirements.
7.14 Batch Cancellation, Registration Cancellation and Refunds
If registration is Cancelled before 5 days or more from the scheduled start date of the training
No charges. Full Fees paid is refunded.
If registration is Cancelled within 4 days or lesser from the scheduled start date of the training
50% of the program fees will be deducted. The balance will be refunded.
Do not show up for the training or cancellation on the start day of the training
100% of the program fees paid will be forfeited.
If the training is cancelled by RPS Consulting for any unforeseen reason
No charges & Full fees paid is refunded.

As these programs are conducted online using virtual learning platform, it is mandatory for the Learner to have the requisite Hardware and Software as mentioned below:

· 50 GB Free HDD Space

· Headset with echo cancellation mic
· Software Requirement:
· Windows 10 (Patched with Latest Security Updates)

· Anti-Virus
· To join the virtual live sessions, Learners need to download and setup a light client (MS Teams or Zoom application) on your computer (one time setup) as required.
· For offline collaboration, Learners need to install MS Teams, Zoom Chat on the computer and mobile phone.
· Learner will require Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
· Connectivity Requirement:
· Uninterrupted Broadband Internet connection, with unlimited upload / download data
· As a fallback arrangement, Learners can plan for Data Card as backup connectivity.
· Power Supply:
Learners arrange for power back up for the computer, Internet router and Wi-fi device as well to ensure there is no disruption during the session

He joined KELTRON, a Kerala government startup electronic products company, where he worked for eight years in marketing, product management, sales of electronic industrial products, and design, installation and commissioning of electronic automation and control for thermal power stations.
He serves on the Board of Management of the not-for-profit NIIT University in Neemrana, Rajasthan. As a member of the Governing Body, he is also actively engaged with the not-for-profit NIIT Foundation, which addresses the skilling and livelihood needs of youth from the underserved segments of society.
He was associated with the apex industry association, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for over a decade, serving on their Information Technology, Human Resources & Higher Education committees. Sapnesh has served in NIIT India and the USA for over 30 years. He started his journey as a Project Lead in the Learning Content Development Team and over the years, has held various Management and Leadership roles in Product Management, Customer Support, Channel Development, Sales, and Support functions.
He has worked on several critical initiatives including NIIT’s expansion into North America & Europe and has led significant acquisitions including Cognitive Arts and Element K. He was selected to the Managing Director’s Quality Club (MDQC) in 1997 and received the coveted Global Leadership Award in 2001 and 2010. In 2010, he joined the board of NIIT(USA), Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
He led the enterprise business of the company outside India and helped create and grow unique solutions in the areas of Learning content, learning administration & learning technologies. Among others, he led the conceptualization and growth of Managed Training Services outsourcing which is now being delivered to many global firms in the Fortune 500.
In 2017, Sapnesh was appointed CEO of NIIT Ltd. and in August 2021, he was re-designated as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of NIIT Limited. During this period, he took charge, learned the role, improved the business and order book, organically & inorganically, streamlined the Stackroute business in India, and led the company through the recent difficult pandemic times with determination and perseverance. Since then, he has passionately driven the digital transformation of the company and the agenda to scale up the business on the company’s new NIIT Digital platform. He became a non-executive director of NIIT Limited on May 24, 2023.

Udai Singh Pawar did his undergraduate studies at IIT Kanpur graduating in 2005 with an Integrated Masters in Physics.
After interning at the MIT Media Lab, in Boston, and ARRI Cinema R&D, in Munich, Udai worked at the Microsoft Research Lab in Bangalore, focusing on Technology for Education. He earned multiple US patents and published over a dozen research papers on his fieldwork in rural government schools. Microsoft USA innovated a few innovations during his tenure, and released it worldwide, as an SDK for educational software.
Shifting to film-making in 2010, he started as the Chief Assistant Director to prominent filmmaker Sudhir Mishra on multiple projects, including India’s first fully digital feature film. Following this, as Associate Director on the successful war movie ‘Airlift,’. His responsibilities included planning and execution of the scheduling and logistics, and balancing the budget against creative requirements by the novel use of CGI, as well as deep logistical planning & systems that were fresh and innovative for the film industry ecosystem.
Recently, he wrote and directed the acclaimed Netflix Original film ‘Upstarts’. He researched the Bangalore start-up ecosystem, based on his personal experiences as well as research and close interactions with dozens of start-up founders. Post that, he wrote a show for JioCinema where he was nominated for a Filmfare award. He has also produced a marquee show for SonyLIV set in 1970s India.
With his passion for interdisciplinary technology and art, Udai is also involved in angel investing in some start-ups. He's also working on his future film projects, focusing on OTT platforms.

Pradeep Narayanan is the President of Growth Initiatives at NIIT Limited. A postgraduate in management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, Pradeep brings more than 40 years of extensive experience across companies like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Eicher GoodEarth Ltd, 24/7 – Inc., Admizzionz Campuz, and MindChampion Learning Systems Limited.p>
He is considered a pioneer in franchising the education business and one of the most respected figures in the retail IT education sector. Pradeep has held many key management positions at NIIT and was a key member of the leadership team that steered the company successfully during his first tenure from November 1987 to June 2004.
In his first stint at NIIT, Pradeep headed the retail education business in India. He was responsible for scaling NIIT’s IT education business by setting up and managing over 1,500 education centres worldwide, delivering education to over half a million students at any point in time. This involved incorporating local companies, hiring people, establishing local partnerships, designing and implementing products and marketing & sales plans, and owning the P&L of the business.
After his first tenure, Pradeep went on to become Chief Delivery Officer of 24/7 – Inc., headquartered in Bangalore, one of India’s leading knowledge process outsourcing firms. He later rejoined NIIT in June 2018 initially as President of NIIT Digital, and has since transitioned to focus on Growth Initiatives, driving innovative skilling solutions, organisational expansion and new-age talent development programs.
President, Generative AI
Udai is the President of Generative AI at NIIT Limited. During his tenure at NIIT, spanning 4 decades, Udai has led the design & implementation of numerous technology-enabled learning innovations and set up new businesses to take these ideas to market. He helped set up NetVarsity.com, one of the world’s earliest online learning portals in 1996, became its CTO in 2000, and ran NIIT Online Learning Limited till 2003 as its COO. This evolved into a Brick-and-Portal model of Blended Education delivery that was unique to NIIT. In 2006, he helped set up NIIT Imperia and brought Executive Management Education from Premier institutes such as IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta to working professionals across India through a unique Synchronous Learning Technology platform. He was an early proponent of the use of Cloud platforms and technologies and conceptualized & deployed India’s first Cloud CampusTM featuring NIIT’s unique Cloud & Collaborative Learning Model in 2011. Under his leadership, StackRoute was set up in 2015 to offer a fully immersive experience to learners and transform them into the world’s best Fullstack developers.
In his previous role as President of the Corporate Learning Business in India, his focus was on executing NIIT’s strategy to create a multi-modal learning delivery capability in India. He led NIIT’s key strategic initiatives including incubating StackRoute, the acquisition of Perceptron Learning Solutions, and the integration of their unique next-generation mastery learning platform. He set up StackRoute Labs to nurture the relationship with EkStep Foundation which has pioneered some of India’s largest digital platform initiatives in the area of School education & Teacher training. Udai was a part of the NASSCOM Future Skills Taskforce that came out with a comprehensive strategy to support & accelerate Digital Transformation initiatives across the IT/ITeS Sector through future-focused upskilling & re-skilling on digital skills. He has been a member of the Governing Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Center for Digital Transformation since 2019, focusing on Skill Building initiatives.
Udai did his B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.E. in Electronics & Control from BITS, Pilani. Became the youngest Lecturer at the age of 21 and taught Computer Science courses for a year before joining NIIT in 1990.
President, NIIT China
Kamal Dhuper is the President of NIIT China, a subsidiary of NIIT Limited. NIIT offers multi-disciplinary learning management and training delivery solutions to corporations, institutions, and individuals in over 30 countries.
Kamal has served NIIT in India and China for over 30 years. He began his journey at NIIT Dehradun from 1992 to 1995, after which he moved to NIIT in Delhi. During his time in Delhi from 1995 to 2002, Kamal performed multiple roles in direct marketing, channel management, sales, and marketing coordination, as well as own center profitability management at regional and national levels. These responsibilities were part of India's Individual Learning Solutions business.
Between 2003 and 2005, Kamal served in the corporate office as a Senior Business Manager, working closely with Co-founder, Vijay Thadani. In this role, Kamal was responsible for coordinating strategy planning, budgeting, and business reviews with Independent Business Units (IBUs). He also provided support to NIIT China's business from India during this time.
In July 2005, Kamal relocated to Shanghai, China, with his family and took on the position of Regional Manager for the East, Central, and South China regions. In 2006, he was given the overall responsibility for operations of NIIT China, including sales, marketing, business development, and delivery operations. Since 2016, Kamal has been independently handling NIIT China's business.
In China, NIIT works closely with provincial governments, software parks, universities, colleges, business partners, and technology companies to provide NIIT Digital programs. NIIT China has established and cultivated global talent development cooperation with multiple cities and provinces of China, collaborating with governments and universities in public-private partnership models. Currently, NIIT successfully operates in several provinces of China, including Shandong, Guizhou, Hainan, Ningxia, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Henan, and Sichuan.
Kamal holds an MBA and has completed executive education programs on Organization Design for Digital Transformation from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from Columbia Business School.

Sanjeev Bansal is the Chief Financial Officer at NIIT Limited. Sanjeev has been associated with NIIT since 2005, during this period he has played a key role in providing strategic direction to the Finance function. Sanjeev joined NIIT as Senior Manager (Accounts) and steadily advanced to his current position.
His areas of expertise encompass finance strategy, financial reporting, governance, business modeling, structuring/ restructuring, merger and demerger, process design/ implementation/ automation, global accounting operations, financial planning/analysis, and implementation of major regulatory reforms. Sanjeev has cultivated diverse exposure and strong relationships with multiple professional entities, accounting/ tax advisory firms, as well as regulatory bodies.

Before joining NIIT, Sanjeev gained valuable experience working with prominent companies such as Electrolux, Radico Khaitan, and JK Group, where he was responsible for planning, reporting, governance, risk management, accounting, and inorganic growth initiatives.

HR Head
Dr. Mita Brahma is the HR Head, of NIIT Limited and has experience of more than 30 years spans the consulting, software, banking, and education sectors.
Mita has worked in different areas of retail, corporate, and institutional banking with the State Bank of India. She has headed the Human Resource function at Nucleus Software Exports Ltd and led large organizational development initiatives with Grow Talent, a consulting services organization. Some of the areas in which she has led projects are real-time strategic change, leadership assessment & development, goal alignment and deployment, organization design, and workplace technologies.
As a senior member of the NIIT leadership team, Mita is responsible for designing and executing the people strategy. Her focus areas are talent development, and maintaining organizational agility and resilience, in the current era of digital disruption. She is also an active contributor as a thought leader in the areas of Future of work, Inclusion, and Entrepreneurship.
Mita has research interests and has published in peer-reviewed journals and Springer publications.

Rajan Venkataraman is the Chief Digital Officer at NIIT and is responsible for driving digital strategy and transformation for the organization.
As Chief Digital Officer, Rajan heads the Learning Science & Technology group at NIIT with a clear charter to build and leverage digital solutions to scale and grow a digitally driven business. He leads the development of innovative platforms that elevate business outcomes and customer experience.
He has had a long and successful tenure at NIIT. He began his journey as a post-graduate student at NIIT Chennai in 1988. Since then, he has been instrumental in achieving the many milestones in NIIT’s growth. He has spearheaded many cutting-edge technology initiatives like an award-winning sales enablement platform, a customer experience platform, and AI-driven solutions that have all ushered in an EdTech revolution at NIIT. He also led several digital transformation initiatives that enabled customers and NIITians to work remotely during the pandemic. NIIT has been awarded multiple Information Security and Global Compliance certifications under his leadership.
