- 10,000 Students Across the State to Participate in the
Competition
- Inaugurates State-of-the-Art NIIT Centre at Kasba in Kolkata
Kolkata, June 14, 2010: NIIT, leading Global Talent

launch of NIIT Inter-College Chess Competition in West Bengal. The competition
was flagged off by World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand at a press conference
today. Also present on the occasion was Surojit Biswas, Zonal Head, Individual
Learning Solutions-East, NIIT Ltd.
10,000 students from 150 colleges across 14 districts in West Bengal will
participate in the mega NIIT Inter-College Chess Competition. The winner will be
awarded with a Competition Trophy and letter of appreciation from Anand. Special
benefits on cutting edge courses from NIIT will be also made available to the
top 10 performers.
Speaking on the occasion World Champion Viswanathan Anand remarked,
“It gives me great pleasure to announce the NIIT Inter-College
