NIIT enters into a strategic partnership with SMK PGRI 2 Badung in Indonesia

Badung, Indonesia, 19 January 2016: NIIT, a global leader in skills and talent development, and SMK PGRI 2 Badung (Induk) today entered into a partnership in Badung, Indonesia to offer multiple new-age career opportunities under the revolutionary Mastermind Series – a path breaking program, designed to enhance the IT education quality of students and to help them acquire skill sets for global career opportunities. The agreement was signed between Mr. Sanjay Tickoo from NIIT Limited and Mr. Drs. I Gusti Ketut Sukadana, M.Pd from SMK PGRI 2 at a ceremony organised at the college campus.
Over the last decade, NIIT has played a significant role in placing Indonesia's software and services sector on the international map. Under this partnership, NIIT will provide content, impart training to the lecturers and conduct examinations towards successful completion of the career programs. The Mastermind programs can be pursued along with graduation, thus allowing students to get the benefit of dual certification. The program has industry relevant curriculum mapped to international certification. The students are exposed to diverse technologies leading to better job opportunities. Not only the students, but also the Universities offering the programs get an edge over other educational institutions. NIIT helps the Universities to design programs mapped to the industry standards.

NIIT has a very unique business model for co-operation with Universities and Colleges in Indonesia called the - "NIIT Inside model", where NIIT programs are embedded in University/College IT curriculum. Students may undergo a 4-year Bachelor Degree program or a 3-year Associate Degree program post 12th grade in Information Technology. Currently, NIIT curriculum is embedded into both these programs across multiple Universities and Colleges in Indonesia. The students get the degree or the associate degree from the University/Government and also receive a certificate from NIIT.
