NIIT IFBI Conducts Career Guidance Session for Banking Aspirants in Cochin
Holds personalised counselling session for students to familiarize them with opportunities in the growing banking sector in India
Cochin, March 12, 2013: NIIT’s Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance (IFBI), India’s largest Banking training institute, conducted a career fair in Cochin to benefit students aspiring to make a mark in India’s fast evolving banking sector.
The participants at the seminar interacted with industry experts on the opportunities, various roles and career paths available in the banking industry. The seminar offered graduate and undergraduate students personalised counselling session with leading bankers to help them make informed career choices in the banking sector.
This Career counselling session was attended by over 100 enthusiastic final year students/ fresh graduates and their parents. The practical tips shared by professional bankers gave students important insights on starting a career in the highly competitive banking industry. Mr. Joshua Kurien, ex-Vice President, ING Vysya Bank, informed students on the requirements for a successful career in banking and vZarious job roles available for freshers in the sector.
The counseling session was well received by the students. Shaw Joseph, a participant at the seminar said, “The program was very useful. It answered a lot of queries I had about banking careers”.
