NIIT Limited inducts Madhabi Puri Buch, Managing Director & CEO, ICICI Securities Limited, as an Independent Director on its Board
New Delhi, November 3, 2010: NIIT Limited, leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest IT trainer, today announced the appointment of Ms Madhabi Puri Buch, Managing Director and CEO of ICICI Securities Limited, a leading capital market firm in India, as an Independent Non Executive Director on its Board.
Ms Buch is a well-known figure in the banking and financial sector, heading ICICI Securities Limited as the Managing Director and CEO. Under her leadership ICICI Securities has emerged as a leading player in capital market space in the country. During her tenure at ICICI Bank, she has been responsible for the global markets business covering treasury solutions for clients, including Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Derivative solutions. In addition, Ms Buch has also served as the Head of global operations of the Bank, covering transaction processing and control for the retail, corporate, international and rural banking. She was also the Chief Brand Officer for the ICICI Group.

A gold medallist in Mathematics with Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Ms Buch also holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. She has undertaken various prestigious professional courses from some of the leading Business Schools like Harvard Business School, University of Michigan Business School and Stanford Business School.
Ms Buch joined the Board of Directors of the Bank in 2007, heading the Internal Control Environment function, including global operations, global risk management and the legal, compliance and audit functions for the Bank.
Ms Buch is also founder of the trust “Toofles Foundation” that undertakes a variety of initiatives for funding grassroot NGOs.
