NIIT LAUNCHES TRAINING ON MICROSOFT AZURE PLATFORM

To Build Human Asset Pool, Skilled to Develop Cloud Ready Applications

New Delhi, May 27, 2010: NIIT, leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest IT trainer, has now launched cutting edge training program on Microsoft AZURE Platform. This significant initiative by NIIT will allow students to look at the next generation development opportunities and job roles as ‘SaaS’ (Software As A service) becomes more prevalent and applications are created for the Cloud.

NIIT and Microsoft have been working together for over two decades on several successful programs and campaigns in the IT education domain, which have benefited individuals and enterprises alike. Further strengthening the association, NIIT now introduces training programs on MS Azure, a technology platform that is set to drive the Cloud momentum.  A large talent pool of skilled manpower with the ability to develop “Cloud Ready Applications” is key to the success of this momentum.

NIIT has always been a pioneer in identifying key Technology and Architecture shifts which have impacted the way that the IT industry evolves. Developers and IT Professionals over the next few years will leverage Cloud Service Platform to create new Infrastructure, Software, Services and Business Models. NIIT’s programs on “Azure” will help Developers and IT Professionals to adopt the Cloud Strategy and Technology and be ready for this Shift. NIIT will introduce these programs in India and 40 countries globally.

Over the two decades, NIIT and Microsoft have collaborated to introduce path-breaking technologies in India like Windows NT 4.0 and Exchange 5.0, ‘Whidbey’ (Visual Studio) and ‘Yukon’ (SQL Server) to name a few. NIIT was the first to introduce .NET​ and C# as “Technology of the Year” in 2001.

Perceiving huge potential in Could and Azure, NIIT is now launching programs leading up to certification on the “Azure” technology platform over the next few months. This initiative will create a substantial “Human Asset Pool” which will help the Industry adopt the Platform and seize new opportunities globally.
