NIIT RECEIVES FRANCHISOR OF THE YEAR AWARD AT FRANCHISE PLUS AWARDS 2010

New Delhi, October 04, 2010: NIIT, leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest IT Trainer, has been conferred the ‘Franchisor of the year Award 2010’ by Franchising Plus, India’s leading business opportunity magazine. The company has received the coveted award for its path breaking work in developing and demonstrating the best business model in the field of Education: Information Technology.

The Franchise Plus Awards is an industry platform that recognises the excellence in the development of franchise industry in India. The award acknowledges the efforts of those who have established themselves as leaders in their own sphere and have taken the Indian Franchising Sector to the next level by channelising the concept throughout the country.

On receiving the trophy at the award function organized by Franchise Plus, in the capital recently, Ms. Shampi Venkatesh, Head- Operations and Channel, Individual Learning Solutions, NIIT Limited, said, “The Franchisor of the Year award for IT education is reaffirmation of our efforts to constantly innovate by introducing improved solutions in IT training. Minister of State, Rural Development, Pradeep Jain was the chief guest at the event. A jury comprising eminent members from the industry selected the winners by evaluating the Business models of each of these players. The jury consisted of esteemed names such as Sanjay Dalmia, Chairman, Dalmia Group; Vikram Bakshi, Managing Director, Mc Donalds India (North & East); Amit Burman, Vice Chairman, Dabur; Pranay Sinha, Managing Director- Star Centres & Member- CII National Retail Committee; Dr. Audesh Paswan, Professor-Marketing, University of North Texas; Vinod Behl, Editor, Franchise Plus, among others.
