World No. 1 Viswanathan Anand & DU VC mentor students at NIIT Graduation Day
New Delhi, June 2, 2007: NIIT students’ dream came true when their names were announced to receive the GNIIT title by none other than the World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand and the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University Prof. Deepak Pental, at the 25th NIIT Graduation Day. The duo along with NIIT leaders mentored GNIIT students who passed out of IT training major, NIIT today, to embark upon a bright career.

The students have successfully completed one of the most comprehensive, industry-endorsed IT curriculums—GNIIT, that offers one year’s industry training through Professional Practice (PP).
While addressing students, the head of country’s most prestigious university, Prof. Pental and Viswanathan Anand stressed upon the need for continuous learning with passion and dedication, to reach the pinnacle of success.
Sharing his success mantra that transforms ordinary players into champions World No. 1 and NIIT MindChampion Viswanathan Anand said, “Having ‘prepared’ yourself for the challenging IT world, it is now time for you to ‘practice’ what you have learnt and ‘perform’ in the real world.”
Speaking on the occasion, NIIT Chairman Rajendra S. Pawar said, “NIIT students have been the flag bearers of the globally recognized Indian IT industry, for the last 25 years. I congratulate every student passing out today and urge them to play a key role in shaping the country’s economy”.
