- Students to benefit from NIIT curriculum embedded in the University program
Vietnam /New Delhi, India, September 28, 2016: NIIT, a global leader in skills and talent development and University of Danang, a regional multi-disciplinary University in Central Vietnam, have entered into a strategic tie up wherein NIIT will facilitate its state-of-the-art 'Inside Model' in the University. This the first ever NIIT Inside Model in Vietnam designed for the students of University of Danang. The tie up was announced by Mr. Rahul Patwardhan CEO, NIIT Ltd and Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam, President, University of Danang at a press conference organized in the city.
'NIIT Inside Model' is a unique curriculum integration model for co-operation with universities and colleges in Vietnam where NIIT programs will be embedded in University/College IT curriculum. Students may undergo a 4-year Bachelor Degree program or a 3-year Associate Degree program post 12th grade in Information Technology. University system continues to teach the subjects that a student undergoes such as language, science etc. to obtain a Bachelor Degree, the high-end IT module shall be provided by NIIT. The students will get the degree from the University and also receive a certificate from NIIT. The NIIT Inside Model is successfully running in over 180 plus Universities/institutions in various Asian Countries.
The state-of-the-art Inside Model will help students access diverse technologies and industry relevant curriculum mapped to internationally recognized certifications. Each and every student will be exposed to standard course materials and will also get experience on live Industry relevant projects. NIIT Inside Model will also help universities in curriculum upgradation and standardized learning experience like student guides, data files, presentation slides, instructor guide, sessions plan, implementation manual, and online assessment engine. The University can easily access NIIT's innovations in learning and pedagogy.

Under this strategic tie up, NIIT will now provide pioneering programs in Digital Transformation. The company will now offer futuristic programs like digiNxt MMS, Big Data, Java Enterprises Apps with Dev-ops and Digital Marketing, under the DigiNxt Series brand umbrella. Through the Inside Model NIIT will train 5000 students over the next 5 years.

By 2018, 35% of IT resources will be spent to support the creation of new digital revenue streams, and by 2020 almost 50% of IT budgets will be tied to digital transformation initiatives. During the visit Mr. Patwardhan met Mr. Pham Dai Doung, Vice Minister of Science & Technology and Dr. Nguyen Son Hai, Director General Dept of Information and Communication Technology under Ministry of Education & Training. The meeting focused on discussions on the recent bilateral agreement signed between India and Vietnam. The talks were held on the upgradation in the curriculum that can benefit the student community and also on the employment issue that the workforce is currently facing in Vietnam.
Further Mr Patwardhan met Mr. Huynh Quyet Thang (Vice President) Hanoi University of Science & Technology (HUST). He also met Mr Nguyen The Hung - Deputy General Director, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Director, Small & Medium Enterprise, VCCI during the course of his visit.
