To train thousands for jobs in IT Infrastructure Management space
New Delhi, May 15, 2007: NIIT, Asia's largest IT trainer has set up state-of-the-art learning centre for Infrastructure Management, in the national capital today. Inaugurated by Mr. Bala Swaminathan, Director, Education & Training, CompTIA—world’s largest Professional Certification Provider for Information Technology and NIIT’s global partner—the new facility and industry endorsed NIIT NetworkLABS curriculum will train thousands of career aspirants in the IT Infrastructure Management space.
NIIT will offer highly specialised training programme in Networking and Infrastructure Management technologies as part of NIIT NetworkLABS portfolio of offerings from the new centre located at Hauz Khas. According to various industry reports, the hardware deployment and support market in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) is estimated to grow at a compounded rate of nearly 8% to USD 6 billion by 2010. While this segment presents a high potential opportunity, the recent IDC survey has also cautioned the industry about possible shortfall of nearly 1 lakh professionals as against the need for 3,75,000 skilled professionals by 2009.
