Vijay Kumar Thadani

Vice-Chairman & Managing Director

Vijay K Thadani is the Co-Founder of NIIT Group and serves as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of NIIT Ltd, a leading Global Talent Development Corporation. He is also the Co-Founder of the not-for-profit NIIT University, established with a vision of being the role model of learning, research, innovation and sustainability for the Knowledge Society.

He also serves as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of NIIT Learning Systems Limited.

In the past, he served as President of the Indian IT industry association, MAIT and as Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), under the aegis of the Quality Council of India.

As an active member of CII, he served as the Chairman of CII Northern Region as also chaired CII’s National Committee on Higher Education. In addition, he served as the Chairman of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, Chairman of the Board of Governors of MN National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Chairman of All India Board of Technician Education constituted by AICTE and as a member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Currently Vijay serves on the Governing Council of All India Management Association (AIMA), is a member of Board of Governors of Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) and co-chairs the CII Centre for Digital Transformation.

He also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Triveni Turbine Limited. He has received the recognition of ‘Distinguished Alumnus” from his alma mater, the premier Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He has also received Bank of India award for Excellence in Management.  In addition, he was honoured with the position of ‘Economic Consultant’ to Chongqing, world’s largest city in the People’s Republic of China.

Parappil Rajendran

Joint Managing Director
NIIT Limited

Parappil Rajendran, Joint Managing Director and Co-Founder of NIIT Ltd., is a member of the core team that developed and brought the organization to its present position of global standing, since its inception in 1981.

He received his degree in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India and joined KELTRON, a Kerala government startup electronic products company, where he worked for eight years in marketing, product management, sales of electronic industrial products and design, installation and commissioning of electronic automation and control of thermal power stations.

Rajendran also serves on the Board of Management of the not-for-profit NIIT University in Neemrana, Rajasthan. He is also actively engaged with the not-for-profit NIIT Foundation, which addresses the skilling and livelihood needs of youth from the underserved segments of the society.

Rajendran was associated with the apex industry association, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for over a decade, serving on their Information Technology, Human Resources & Higher Education committees. He has served on the Central Board of Trustees of Employees Provident Fund for eight years. He is a life member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, USA.

IITDelhi Alumni Association recognized his professional contributions by conferring the “Outstanding Contribution to National Development” Award in the year 2020.

Pradeep Narayanan

President, NIIT Digital and Growth Initiatives
NIIT Limited

Pradeep Narayanan is the president at NIIT Digital and Growth Initiatives, NIIT Limited. A postgraduate in management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, Pradeep has extensive work experience of more than 40 years across companies like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Eicher GoodEarth Ltd, NIIT Ltd and [24]7.ai.

Pradeep is considered a pioneer in franchising the education business and is one of the most respected figures in the retail IT education business. He has also held many key management positions in NIIT and was a key member of the leadership team which steered the company management successfully during his 17-year tenure (November 1987 till June 2004).

In his first stint at NIIT, Pradeep was heading NIIT's retail education business in India. He was responsible for scaling NIIT’s IT education business having set up and managed over 1500 education centers delivering education to over half a million students at any point in time. This involved setting up education centers all over the world - right from incorporation of local companies, to hiring people, establishing local partnerships and designing and implementing products and marketing & sales plans and being responsible for the P&L of the business.

After his first stint with NIIT, Pradeep went on to become the Chief Delivery Officer of [24]7.ai, headquartered in Bangalore, one of the leading knowledge process outsourcing firms in India today, where he helped it to scale. He contributed to adding several key customers and new products and services in the company. He has also served as the Head of NIIT Learning Systems Limited (formerly known as MindChampion Learning Systems Limited). Pradeep is also the founder of Admizzionz Campuz, a company engaged in career counselling and admission guidance for colleges in India, since December 2010.

Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin

President, Enterprise Business India

Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin (Bimal) is the President of Enterprise Business India (EBI), NIIT Limited. Bimal brings with him a diverse career experience of over two decades that spans leadership roles focused on building, scaling and transforming businesses.

Over the last 4.5 Years, Bimal has transformed and scaled NIIT’s enterprise business in India. His focus on building high-quality team and foundational capabilities to demonstrate high impact outcomes to enterprises through relevant and contemporary talent focused solutions has helped NIIT’s enterprise business become robust, significantly grow revenue and profits, build deep customer equity, expand across existing and new customers segments, and establish NIIT as a thought leader in the ever-evolving talent landscape across Technology, Digital, Banking and consumer companies in India.

Prior to joining NIIT, Bimal worked with Manipal Global Education as the Vice President and Head - Enterprise Business. In his seven plus years stint, Bimal played a significant role in establishing Manipal Global as a leading talent development partner for the BFSI Industry. During his tenure, Bimal also provided leadership to Manipal's Enterprise and Executive Education, GlobalNxt University, Assessment Business, International Business and Digital Platform.

Prior to Manipal Global, Bimal worked with Wipro Limited for over a decade where he held multiple leadership roles and helped set up many new growth engines towards scaling key businesses of Wipro.

Bimal is an alumnus of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business - Accelerated Development Program, and an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune.

Udai Singh

President, Global Products & Solutions and Learning Delivery
NIIT Limited

Udai is the President, Global Products & Solutions and Learning Delivery at NIIT Limited. He leads the team that is responsible for the design & development of NIIT’s retail product offerings that are powering the growth of NIIT Digital in India and StackRoute Learning Inc., in the US. Additionally, this team is responsible for the technology-enabled pedagogical innovations that ensure NIIT’s deep skilling programs can deliver superior outcomes at scale. With distributed virtual online learning gaining accelerated adoption from 2020, this team is also responsible for the shared delivery capability & capacity that supports our learners globally. Going forward, Udai is also conceptualizing & implementing hybrid & omni-channel customer engagement, experience, and delivery strategies for NIIT Digital.

In his previous role as President of the Corporate Learning Business in India his focus was on executing NIIT’s strategy to create a multi-modal learning delivery capability in India. He led NIIT’s key strategic initiatives including incubating StackRoute, the acquisition of Perceptron Learning Solutions and integration of their unique next generation mastery learning platform. He set up StackRoute Labs to nurture the relationship with EkStep Foundation which has pioneered some of India’s largest digital platform initiatives in the area of School education & Teacher training. Udai was a part of the NASSCOM Future Skills Taskforce that came out with a comprehensive strategy to support & accelerate Digital Transformation initiatives across the IT/ITeS Sector through future-focussed upskilling & re-skilling on digital skills. He has been a member of the Governing Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Center for Digital Transformation since 2019, focussing on Skill Building initiatives.

During his tenure at NIIT, spanning across 4 decades, Udai has led the design & implementation of numerous technology-enabled learning innovations and set-up new businesses to take these ideas to market. He helped set up NetVarsity.com, one of the world’s earliest online learning portals in 1996, became its CTO in 2000, and ran NIIT Online Learning Limited till 2003 as its COO. This evolved into a Brick-and-Portal model of Blended Education delivery that was unique to NIIT. In 2006, he helped setup NIIT Imperia and brought Executive Management Education from Premier institutes such as IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta to working professionals across India through a unique Synchronous Learning Technology platform. He was an early proponent of the use of Cloud platforms and technologies and conceptualized & deployed India’s first Cloud CampusTM featuring NIIT’s unique Cloud & Collaborative Learning Model in 2011. Under his leadership, StackRoute was set up in 2015 to offer a fully immersive experience to learners and transform them into the world’s best Fullstack developers.

Udai did his B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.E. in Electronics & Control from BITS, Pilani. Became the youngest Lecturer at the age of 21 and taught Computer Science courses for a year before joining NIIT in 1990.

Kamal Dhuper

President of NIIT China, an NIIT Subsidiary

Kamal Dhuper is the President of NIIT China, a subsidiary of NIIT Limited. NIIT offers multi-disciplinary learning management and training delivery solutions to corporations, institutions, and individuals in over 30 countries.

Kamal has served NIIT in India and China for over 30 years. He began his journey at NIIT Dehradun from 1992 to 1995, after which he moved to NIIT in Delhi. During his time in Delhi from 1995 to 2002, Kamal performed multiple roles in direct marketing, channel management, sales, and marketing coordination, as well as own center profitability management at regional and national levels. These responsibilities were part of India Individual Learning Solutions business.

Between 2003 and 2005, Kamal served in the corporate office as a Senior Business Manager, working closely with Co-founder, Vijay Thadani. In this role, Kamal was responsible for coordinating strategy planning, budgeting, and business reviews with Independent Business Units (IBUs). He also provided support to NIIT China's business from India during this time.

In July 2005, Kamal relocated to Shanghai, China, with his family and took on the position of Regional Manager for East, Central, and South China regions. In 2006, he was given the overall responsibility for operations of NIIT China, including sales, marketing, business development, and delivery operations. Since 2016, Kamal has been independently handling NIIT China's business.

In China, NIIT works closely with provincial governments, software parks, universities, colleges, business partners, and technology companies to provide NIIT Digital programs. NIIT China has established and cultivated global talent development cooperation with multiple cities and provinces of China, collaborating with governments and universities in public-private partnership models. Currently, NIIT successfully operates in several provinces of China, including Shandong, Guizhou, Hainan, Ningxia, Guangxi, Jiangsu, Henan, and Sichuan. In recognition of his contributions, Kamal was appointed as a member of the International Advisory & Consultative Committee by the Wuxi municipal government in 2012.

Kamal has also been involved with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in China. He served as the Chairman of the IT Taskforce of CII-India Business Forum from 2015 to 2017, where he worked on creating opportunities for the Indian IT industry in Guizhou and Jiangsu provinces. Between 2017 and 2019, he was appointed as the Chairman of the CII-India Business Forum.

During his tenure at NIIT in India and China, Kamal was part of the "Pathfinder's Squadron" and "Chairman's Quality Club." He is also a member of the board in multiple overseas subsidiaries of NIIT.

Kamal holds an MBA and has completed executive education programs on Organization Design for Digital Transformation from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Business from Columbia Business School.

Prasad Balakrishnan

Chief Executive Officer, RPS Consulting, an NIIT subsidiary

Prasad Balakrishnan is the Chief Executive Officer of RPS Consulting, an NIIT subsidiary. He is a proven business leader with over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He has a diverse background ranging from technology to talent management and has demonstrated his ability to develop new business initiatives and partnerships.

With a strong track record of continuous growth in highly competitive markets, Prasad has held various strategic positions, handling different disciplines and business functions. He possesses a deep understanding of the industry and has successfully managed P&L responsibilities in rapidly evolving technology sectors.

Prasad holds a BE in Electronics and began his career with RCS Technologies, where he managed the business operations and led the organization to become a preferred partner for numerous blue-chip companies and government clients. He is known for his expertise in people management, effectively aligning and rallying cross-functional teams towards achieving business objectives and success.

Passionate about numbers and market leadership, Prasad has a proven talent for creating a vision for growth. As a founding director of RPS Consulting Private Limited, an enterprise IT education and competency building organization, he has been instrumental in driving the company towards positive results and organic growth year after year.

Francis Jacob

President and Business Head, RPS Consulting, an NIIT subsidiary

Francis is the President and Business Head, RPS Consulting, an NIIT subsidiary. He is a senior leader with over 25 years of experience in the technology sector. During these years he has performed leadership roles in global organisations such as Wipro, HP, IBM and Avaya. He has extensive experience and expertise in scaling technology and training business in India and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to RPS, Francis was the Director for Oracle University for the Asia Pacific region.

In the Technical Education and IT enablement sector, Francis has deep expertise in business growth across geographies, partnership and enterprise sales. He was instrumental in driving global deployments of digital enablement solutions and have transformed the IT skill landscape for many global organisations. He has a keen eye for performers and has hired, built, and scaled teams and mentored organisations across countries in the technology space.

Sanjeev Bansal

Chief Financial Officer
NIIT Limited

Sanjeev Bansal is the Chief Financial Officer at NIIT Limited. Sanjeev has been associated with NIIT since 2005, during this period he has played a key role in providing strategic direction to the Finance function. Sanjeev joined NIIT as Senior Manager (Accounts) and steadily advanced to his current position.

His areas of expertise encompass finance strategy, financial reporting, governance, business modelling, structuring/ restructuring, merger and demerger, process design/ implementation/ automation, global accounting operations, financial planning/analysis and implementation of major regulatory reforms. Sanjeev has cultivated diverse exposure and strong relationships with multiple professional entities, accounting/ tax advisory firms, as well as regulatory bodies.

Sanjeev has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the esteemed "NGLP" and "Trailblazers" series of awards, which acknowledge his exceptional contributions in driving quality, speed and innovation within the organization.

Sanjeev has over two decades of experience at the helm of financial services at various enterprises. Before joining NIIT, Sanjeev gained valuable experience working with prominent companies such as Electrolux, Radico Khaitan and JK Group, where he was been responsible for planning, reporting, governance, risk management, accounting and inorganic growth initiatives.

Sanjeev is qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Dr Mita Brahma

HR Head
NIIT Limited

Dr. Mita Brahma is the HR Head, NIIT Limited. Her experience of more than 30 years spans the consulting, software, banking, and education sectors.

Mita has worked in different areas of retail, corporate and institutional banking with the State Bank of India. She has headed the Human Resource function at Nucleus Software Exports Ltd, and led large organizational development initiatives with Grow Talent, a consulting services organization. Some of the areas in which she has led projects are real time strategic change, leadership assessment & development, goal alignment and deployment, organization design, and workplace technologies.

As a senior member of the leadership team, Mita is responsible for designing and executing the people strategy at NIIT. Her focus areas are talent development, and maintaining organizational agility and resilience, in the current era of digital disruption. She is also an active contributor as a thought leader in the areas of Future of work, Inclusion and Entrepreneurship.

Mita has research interests, and has published in peer reviewed journals, and Springer publications. Mita completed her Integrated M.S. in Applied Physics and MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and obtained a Fellowship from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

Rajan Venkataraman

Chief Digital Officer
NIIT Limited

Rajan Venkataraman is the Chief Digital Officer at NIIT and is responsible for driving digital strategy and transformation for the organization.

As Chief Digital Officer, Rajan heads the Learning Science & Technology group at NIIT with a clear charter to build and leverage digital solutions to scale and grow a digitally driven business. Rajan leads the development of innovative platforms that elevate business outcomes and customer experience.

Rajan has had a long and successful tenure at NIIT. He began his journey as a post-graduate student from NIIT Chennai in 1988. Since then, he has been instrumental in achieving the many milestones in NIIT’s growth from establishing the technology and platforms for the global business in the US in 1996 to the design and implementation of NIIT’s innovative Computerdrome facility that provided 24x7 computer labs at major cities in India as Chief Technology Officer. 

He has spearheaded many cutting-edge technology initiatives including an award-winning sales enablement platform, a customer experience platform and more recently AI-driven solutions that have all ushered in an EdTech revolution at NIIT. He also led major digital transformation initiatives that enabled customers and NIITians to rapidly pivot to a remote work environment during the pandemic. NIIT has been awarded multiple Information Security and Global Compliance certifications under his leadership.   

Rajan has been recognized with multiple awards including the Global Leadership Award for his significant contributions globally. 

Rajan is a Formula 1 fan and enjoys cooking.
