NIIT Appoints New Practice Head

Edward Trolley becomes Vice President of Managed Training Services Practice ATLANTA, Georgia - October 30, 2009 - In conjunction with its recent announcement of a new Managed Training Services offering, NIIT today also announced the appointment of Edward Trolley as the Vice President of Managed Training Services Practice. Mr. Trolley is widely recognized for having started the training outsourcing industry when he orchestrated the first comprehensive training outsourcing deal between DuPont and The Forum Corporation in 1993. After joining The Forum Corporation, he continued to advance this outsourcing concept with leading companies such as The Moore CorporationNCRTexas InstrumentsKPMG CanadaSmithKline BeechamIrving Oil and other organizations around the globe. Mr. Trolley has orchestrated more comprehensive training outsourcing relationships than anyone else.

Prior to entering the training outsourcing provider space, Mr. Trolley spent 26 years with DuPont, where he held a variety of progressive leadership positions in three of DuPont strategic business units and two of its functional organizations. In his last role, he was head of DuPont Training and Education, where he oversaw and guided the training and education for the 110,000-person multi-national corporation. Mr. Trolley received his B.S. in Management Science from the Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland, OH. Mr. Trolley is co-author of the book, Running Training Like A Business: Delivering Unmistakable Value, published by Berrett-Koehler. He also is a contributing author to two ASTD published books, Building Learning Capability Through Outsourcing and Lies About Learning. In addition, he is a highly requested presenter at industry conferences and has spoken at major events such as ASTDTechLearnThe World Outsourcing Summit and the HRO World Outsourcing Conference.
